Vivendi CEO and Chairman of the Management Board, Arnaud de Puyfontaine, is among the first group of speakers confirmed for the 44th FIPP World Media Congress.

He joins among others Axel Springer’s Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Ralph Büchi, and Dotdash Meredith Chief Business Officer Alysia Borsa.

The World Media Congress takes place from 7-9 June in Cascais, Portugal. FIPP’s flagship event will be live and in-person for the first time since November 2019 in Las Vegas (due to you know what!).

French-based media giant Vivendi appointed De Puyfontaine as Chairman of the Management Board and CEO in June 2014, after joining the group earlier that year.

Before Vivendi, De Puyfontaine held positions at, among others, Hearst Magazines International and Hearst UK, Editions Mondadori France and EMAP.

His keynote at Congress will focus on the broader media industry, including macro trends impacting or set to influence media. It will challenge attendees to think about the future of their organisations and brands. It will also encourage them to consider their relationships with audiences and how macro trends may change these relationships in future.

Around 50 speakers from around the world will attend Congress. They also include recently formed Dotdash meredith Chief Business Officer Alysia Borsa. Dotdash acquired Meredith in late 2021. Here is our complete list with speakers confirmed so far:

Join them in Cascais!

We have also confirmed our stage moderators. Rich Askam, Speaker and Broadcaster, will take charge of plenary sessions. Andrea Davies, Non-Executive Director, Scale-up Advisor, and Consultant, will ensure our specialist stage runs smoothly.

Congress, of course, is not all about the speaker programme. There will be ample time for networking, meetings and other activities.

  • We will have networking drinks on the evenings of 7 and 8 June.
  • Join our Congress walking and running club on the mornings of 8 and 9 June.
  • Catch up with old friends and new colleagues at extended breakfasts or during Congress coffee and lunch networking breaks.
  • Or troll into Cascais to enjoy all this beautiful coastal town has to offer.

We currently still have discounted delegate tickets available. So sign up today to save.
