‘The 2023 FIPP World Congress in June will be the 45th, that alone says a tremendous amount about status in the sector.  In very difficult times, it is the stable and trusted brands, products and events that survive as Partners and Sponsors know they will get results.  Content is still king, but information around the tech stack and supporting services now makes up part of that content, as media owners strive to find different channels to monetise their own content, products and brands.

The FIPP World Congress is the largest of its type for the audience, attracting over 500 C-Suite and similar Executives.  Our aim is to integrate commercial partners into the audience in a modern and seamless way, allowing easy conversations to flow, relationships to build and ultimately pipelines to be built and business to be done.  Yes we have networking opportunities for vendors to present their proposition, yes we have commercial speaker slots, yes we have drinks receptions each night and hosted dinners, but we go much further than this.  Running and walking clubs, Yoga on the beach, surf school, cultural tours, sundowner boat trips and much more available for you to invite your guests and clients to. This, for us, is the key, the networking, the thing we have all missed so much for so long.  The sun and environment of Cascais does also go some way to helping people relax and enjoy themselves.

Co-founded by Cobus Heyl and John Schlaefli, Di5rupt (“disrupt”) is a startup but its portfolio includes brands stretching back almost a century.

In June 2022, we organised, hosted and sold out the 44th FIPP World Media Congress on license for the first time. Also in June, we launched our first proprietary product in conjunction with World News Media Network – a seminar on First-Party Data Strategies. Our second wholly-owned is Media Makers Meet (Mx3 Berlin), which focuses on innovation in B2B as special interest media verticals.

We further provide content, commercial and marketing services to 3rd parties such as for the FIPP – Connecting Global Media’s Insider events (international speaker acquisition and sponsorship sales) and Google and FT Strategies’ digital immersion weeks.

With direct access to multiple media and tech experts around the world, Di5rupt taps into an extensive knowledge ecosystem in developing and delivering its product and service portfolio.
