The 44th FIPP World Media Congress takes place in the pretty coastal town of Cascais, on the outskirts of Lisbon in Portugal.

Once a tiny fishing village, today Cascais, with its cobbled streets, restaurants and shopping, incredible scenery, and plenty outdoors to do, is one of Portugal’s most sought after destinations.

Congress Hotel

Hotel alert!

The Pestana Hotel at the venue is now near-total capacity.

If you cannot find a room there, we recommend using booking.com or airbnb.com (or your local equivalent) to search for accommodation in “Cascais” or “Estoril”, a short ride by cab away.

Here is the address for the Congress venue if you want to see how far away your accommodation choice is: Pestana Cidadela, Av. Dom Carlos I, 2750-310 Cascais, Portugal.

Congress Campus

Congress takes place in the Cascais Citadel, dating from the 15th Century.

In more recent years, it was modernised and houses a Presidential guest house, art museum, coffee shop, conference facilities, the luxury Pestana hotel, gym, spa and more. It forms part of the development of a wider Art District, including in the marina directly outside the Citadel.

As you walk into the archway leading into the Citadel, you will know you are on Congress Campus. Around you, you will find rooms with different speaker and round table stages, expo areas, coffee stations and meeting areas, a VIP lounge, and the Congress Hotel & Spa.

Best of all, you will find media colleagues from around the world joining you there!

We hope to see you in Cascais, June 7-9th!

I’M THRILLED THAT THE FIPP WORLD CONGRESS WILL RETURN AS AN IN-PERSON EVENT IN 2022. THE WHOLE INDUSTRY IS LOOKING FORWARD TO RECONNECTING AFTER MORE THAN TWO YEARS IN ISOLATION AND, AS A RESULT, THIS CONGRESS PROMISES TO BE THE BEST YET. CONGRESS 2022 WILL BE ORGANISED BY TWO OF MY FORMER FIPP COLLEAGUES, NOW SERVING FIPP AND OUR MEMBERS AS DI5RUPT. I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO WORKING WITH THEM TO BRING YOU AN AMAZING EVENT.

JAMES HEWES / FIPP PRESIDENT AND CEO.

WE ARE EXCITED TO BRING YOU THE FIRST IN-PERSON CONGRESS SINCE 2019! MANY OF YOU WILL KNOW US FROM OUR YEARS WITH FIPP, AND WHILE WE NOW OPERATE AS DI5RUPT, CONGRESS WILL REMAIN THE GLOBAL FIPP AND MEDIA CONFERENCE TO ATTEND. APART FROM THE HALLMARK OF SUPERB CONTENT, NETWORKING AND MEETINGS, LOOK FOR A FEW MORE ADDITIONS TO MAKE THE EXPERIENCE EVEN MORE WORTH YOUR WHILE!

COBUS AND JOHN / DI5RUPT.

About / Us.

Co-founded by Cobus Heyl and John Schlaefli, Di5rupt (“disrupt”) is a startup but its portfolio includes brands stretching back almost a century.

In June 2022, we organised, hosted and sold out the 44th FIPP World Media Congress on license for the first time. Also in June, we launched our first proprietary product in conjunction with World News Media Network – a seminar on First-Party Data Strategies. Our second wholly-owned is Media Makers Meet (Mx3 Berlin), which focuses on innovation in B2B as special interest media verticals.

We further provide content, commercial and marketing services to 3rd parties such as for the FIPP – Connecting Global Media’s Insider events (international speaker acquisition and sponsorship sales) and Google and FT Strategies’ digital immersion weeks.

With direct access to multiple media and tech experts around the world, Di5rupt taps into an extensive knowledge ecosystem in developing and delivering its product and service portfolio.

Based in the United Kingdom, Di5rupt operates across international markets.
