Who are you and what do you do within your company?
I’m Madeleine White, Head of International at Poool and Editor-in-chief of The Audiencers. In short, both of these roles involve me being an expert in digital reader revenue strategies for digital publishers, from engagement to conversion and retention.

 What does your company do? What type of businesses do you help/work with?
At Poool, we provide digital publishers with the all-in-one Membership & Subscription Suite to convert, manage and retain their members and subscribers. To accompany these tools, we also provide expertise in the form of a B2B media, The Audiencers. This content aims to help publishing professionals to do their jobs better, thanks to industry research, benchmark best practices and expert advice on how to engage, convert and retain digital audiences.

What type of people/companies are you hoping to meet?
Publishing professionals involved in audience development!  We’re at Congress to share some of our learnings after working with over 150 publishers around the world with the goal of further supporting media companies in their membership & subscription strategies, but we’re also looking forward to learning from other experts in the field, both through attending sessions and networking in between events.
I’ll be running a session about launching and optimizing your digital subscription model with ELLE Magazine, but you can come to me for anything related to engaging, converting & retaining your audience.

What do you think will be the key topics of conversation around the Congress?
The key trends of 2023 so far, in my view, are registration (de-anonymizing audiences to support revenue diversification), dynamic conversion strategies (let’s put an end to one-size-fits-all user experiences!) and subscriber retention (which is significantly more valuable and less expensive than acquisition).
